Information National Flags processes

Most game information, including game progress, settings and achievements, is stored locally on the player's device.

If a player opens the online leaderboard, National Flags creates an anonymous player account and processes the following information:

• a player name chosen by the player;
• a randomly generated anonymous player identifier;
• weekly and all-time leaderboard scores;
• the current game level, application version, submission time and whether a score submission was accepted.

The player name and ranked score are visible to other players on the leaderboard. Players should choose a nickname and should not enter their real name or other personal information.

National Flags does not require an email address, Google account or Microsoft account to use the leaderboard. It does not collect payment information, precise location, contacts, photographs or advertising identifiers. National Flags does not contain advertising or third-party behavioural tracking.

If a player uses the privacy request form, the player name, reply address, request type and any additional details they provide are used only to respond to and fulfil the request.

How the information is used

The information is used only to:

• create and maintain the weekly and all-time leaderboards;
• identify the player's own leaderboard entry;
• validate score submissions and reduce cheating or abuse;
• diagnose leaderboard errors and moderate inappropriate player names.

Data processing and sharing

The online leaderboard and privacy request form use third-party cloud service providers. Those providers process information on behalf of the developer and may process normal technical request information, such as an IP address and server logs, to provide and secure their services.

National Flags does not sell personal information. Leaderboard information is not shared with third parties for advertising or marketing.

Retention and deletion

Player profiles, ranked scores, weekly score history and score-submission records are retained while needed to operate, secure and moderate the leaderboard.

A player may request access to or deletion of their leaderboard profile and associated score records using the privacy request form and providing their player name. Additional verification may be requested to prevent access to or deletion of another player's information.

Information submitted through the privacy request form is retained only for as long as needed to handle the request and meet applicable legal obligations.

Deleting National Flags from a device removes locally stored game information and authentication credentials from that device, but does not automatically delete leaderboard records held by the online service.

Children

National Flags does not knowingly request a child's real name, contact details or other identifying information. Children should use a nickname on the leaderboard. A parent or guardian may request deletion of a child's leaderboard information.

Security

Reasonable technical safeguards, including encrypted network connections, anonymous authentication and restricted database access, are used to protect leaderboard information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated if National Flags' features or data practices change. The effective date above will be updated when a revised policy takes effect.
